San Jose Network Maintenance - 2/6/2009 8pm-10pm pacific

We will be performing emergency maintenance on 2/6/2009 from 8pm-10pm pacific. The maintenance may be postponed, depending on arriving equipment and this notice will be updated as necessary.

Impact for the maintenance is as follows:

Transit and Colocation Customers

No outage impact expected. You may notice routes change as we move traffic to other equipment.

Virtual Server Customers

You will notice route changes, as well as 5-10 minutes of intermittent packet loss, including drops that go outside of tcp convergence. This may mean periods of complete downtime during the maintenance.

We are working to mitigate the impact and expect to be able to complete the maintenance quickly.

This maintenance was originally being planned for 2/27 but is being moved forward to correct potential failure points in San Jose, CA for some services. The change will also complete our move to a dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 network, making IPv6 services available to all customers on request. Our Virtual Server service will be upgraded to include IPv6 on 2/27. Look for more information on our news site.
