2016-10-06: Informational – Hurricane Matthew – MIA, LGA,

Based on the latest advisory regarding Hurricane Matthew our Operations has implemented its standard emergency response protocols both with remote and onsite staff. We take hurricane preparedness very seriously; we are closely monitoring all storm-related events in our Miami POP. 

Operations staff and other Emergency Preparedness Staff will be on-site 24/7 throughout the storm. Remote staff will be monitoring and will make the decision to divert traffic from Miami if impact occurs or is expected. Additionally, we have support and engineering staff available in preparation for, and during any storm related complications.

We are also monitoring other POP(s) that may be impacted including MIA, LGA, RDU, IAD, ASH. If required further updates will be provided here.



2016-09-19: Los Angeles, CA / AS174

AS174 (Cogent) appears to be suffering from major issues in the LAX market. This is impacting traffic in LAX and traffic traversing it over Cogent paths.

We have disabled AS174 in LAX to route around this issue, however customers routing via Cogent to us may still see increased network latency. Please open a ticket with traceroutes to confirm as you may need to escalate to your local ISP as well.

The Cogent Network Operations Center is currently investigating an outage in the Los Angeles area. The master case is HD6655601. There is no estimated time to repair.

Update: Most services are back online, however we're extending the maintenance window 2 hours to work on additional items.
