AS174 (Cogent) appears to be suffering from major issues in the LAX market. This is impacting traffic in LAX and traffic traversing it over Cogent paths.

We have disabled AS174 in LAX to route around this issue, however customers routing via Cogent to us may still see increased network latency. Please open a ticket with traceroutes to confirm as you may need to escalate to your local ISP as well.

The Cogent Network Operations Center is currently investigating an outage in the Los Angeles area. The master case is HD6655601. There is no estimated time to repair.


2016-09-17: New York Cloud POP Upgrade

We will be performing a major upgrade on our New York Cloud POP during
the following timeframe (Local time EDT)

Start: 2016-09-17 19:00
End: 2016-09-17 23:00

Anycast traffic will be automatically re-routed during this event.

During the maintenance window, we will be shifting network
connectivity, as well as shutting down some parts of our cloud for
physical relocation.   Your cloud server will be safely suspended and
unavailable for a period of 1-4 hours during this maintenance event.

Update: Most services are back online, however we're extending the maintenance window 2 hours to work on additional items.

We are currently experiencing an issue impacting international/management traffic in our Sydney PoP and are investigating.

Update: Although local traffic is not impacted, we've disabled anycast in this PoP until resolution. Unfortunately there is no ETR at this time, and further updates will be provided.

Update: Full connectivity has been restored. We are evaluating root cause and will determine when to enable additional services in this PoP.

We will be performing emergency maintenance in Bucharest beginning on:

Starting: Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 4:00:00 PM UTC 
Ending: Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 6:00:00 PM UTC

During this time we will be upgrading equipment and performing physical maintenance. Due to the nature of the work instances may be powered off and network connectivity may re-route through alternative carriers or be unavailable. We will do our best to minimize the impact.

Note that Anycast traffic will be diverted from this POP for the duration of the maintenance. 

Update: The maintenance has completed and service has returned to normal.
